Members of WPN spoke today with the representatives of the OSCE Mission to Serbia about the support to the Network’s activities in the new convocation of the National Assembly. Fully expecting that the WPN would continue with its activities on women’s empowerment once the new convocation of the National Assembly was formed, the representatives of the OSCE Mission expressed their willingness to continue the cooperation and prepare new proposals for new woman MPs.
The Mission would support the creation of a database of women politicians and experts, as well as institutions, CSOs and NGOs that dealt with women’s empowerment, in order to facilitate the future work of WPN. In addition, the Mission would propose to change the structure of WPN, so that every member could give her own contribution to the Network’s work. They would prepare educational material on gender equality, as well as an action plan proposal based on the conclusions brought at all three conferences of WPN.
It was jointly concluded at the meeting that the OSCE Mission’s support to the work of WPN was of great importance, as it contributed to the empowerment of women in full sense of this notion.
The meeting was attended by WPN members Dubravka Filipovski, Marija Obradović and Anamarija Viček.
