Member of the Committee for Human and Minority rights and Gender Equality and one of the Coordinators of WPN Stefana Miladinović participated in the workshop on economic and social rights of women held on November 24th 2015 in Vienna, organised by OSCE.
The workshop was organised to mark the 20th anniversary of the 4th Global Conference of the United Nations of Women, held in Beijing in 1995, when the Beijing Declaration and Activity Platform were adopted. In 2004, OSCE adopted the Action Plan for Gender Equality Promotion based on the Beijing Activity Platform. The workshop participants discussed the progress achieved in the implementation
of the Beijing Platform, particularly concerning its part on economic and social rights of women. Particular heed was paid to promotion of economic rights and economic independence of women, including their access to the labour market, adequate working conditions, and the control of economic resources. Another important topic was the harmonisation of the professional and family life for both women and men.
