Today, in the National Assembly Building, the coordinators of WPN held their first working meeting in the 9th Convocation of the National Assembly. At the meeting, the Women’s Parliamentary Network was officially established, consisting of 14 women MPs. Marija Obradović was appointed as the Chairing Coordinator and, in case she was not available, her deputies Stefana Miladinović and Tatjana Macura would stand in her place.
Marija Obradović presented the plan of activities of WPN, highlighting that the principles of work were focused on economic empowerment of women, combat against violence, healthcare and education of women, with a special emphasis on gender-sensitive budgeting which involved the re-structuring of revenues and expenditures in line with the gender equality principle.
The meeting was attended by the following representatives of MP groups, who are members of WPN: Stefana Miladinović, Tatjana Macura, Aleksandra Jerkov, Nataša Mihailović, Marija Janjušević, Nataša Mićić, Dubravka Filipovski, Elvira Kovač, Marija Jevđić, Ana Ćirić, Marinika Tepić and Vera Paunović.
